The Science Behind It

Photobiomodulation (PBM) works by delivering specific wavelengths of light into tissue, triggering cellular responses that reduce inflammation, accelerate healing, and relieve pain. • Pulsed vs. Continuous Wave — the Vetro4Pro offers both modes. Continuous wave delivers a steady beam for deeper penetration; pulsed mode (10Hz) is used for pain modulation and more superficial conditions.

• Frequency — acute conditions typically benefit from more frequent initial sessions; chronic conditions are treated on a maintenance schedule

Contraindications & Precautions

Do not use laser therapy:

• Directly over cancerous or suspected cancerous tissue
• Over the eyes or directed toward the eyes of any person or animal
• Over the pregnant uterus
• Over active hemorrhage
• Over open fontanelles in young animals

Use with caution:

• Over growth plates in young, still-developing animals
• Over tattoos or dark pigmented skin (increased absorption)
• On animals with photosensitivity or on photosensitizing medications
• Over implanted electronic devices (e.g., pacemakers)
• On animals with fever or acute infection — consult your veterinarian

• Laser Safety Supervisor — designate one person as the Laser Safety Supervisor for each treatment session. This person is responsible for ensuring all safety protocols are followed, goggles are worn, and the treatment area is controlled.
• Laser Room Signage — post the included "DANGER — Class IV Laser in Use" warning sign at all entry points to the treatment area during every session.
• Never point the laser at any person or animal's eyes. Class IV lasers can cause permanent eye damage instantly.
